Welcome to the Digital Publishing Academy website and services. By visiting this website, participating in our educational tracks, submitting works, or benefiting from any of our services, you are deemed to have read and accepted the following terms of use.
1. Definitions
As used in this document:
- Academy / Management: Digital Publishing Academy
- Platform: dergicilikokulu.com website and all related digital services
- User / Participant: Any individual who visits the platform, participates in courses, submits works, or benefits from services (regardless of age or student status)
- Content: Any type of work including writing, poetry, research, illustration, photography, graphic design and similar
2. Nature of the Service
The Digital Publishing Academy is a non-profit educational project operated for public benefit and supported by the Digital Generation Association, aimed at contributing to the development of digital publishing and magazine culture. The website is accessible to everyone for this purpose.
However, our training programs are subject to application evaluation processes, quota limitations, and available resources. Applications are carefully reviewed, and candidates deemed suitable and within our capacity limits are accepted into the training programs. Public access to the platform does not guarantee admission to the training courses.
Educational content, materials, and resources on the platform may only be used for participants' personal development. Unauthorized reproduction, commercial distribution, or sale of these materials is prohibited.
3. Application and Participation
There are no prerequisites for participating in our courses. Any person who fills out the application form and is contacted by the Digital Publishing Academy acquires participant status. For participants under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is presumed to exist.
4. Intellectual Property Rights and Content License
The intellectual property rights of all written, visual, and design content produced or submitted through the platform or training processes belong exclusively to the author.
Participants are deemed to grant permission for the content they submit or prepare within the program to be:
- Published in Digital Publishing Academy publications (digital magazines, e-books, etc.)
- Published on the MagPublish digital publishing platform
- Used in project promotion and social media shares
without royalty and without geographic restriction. This permission does not transfer ownership or commercial operation rights to the Digital Publishing Academy.
5. Content Responsibilities
The full responsibility lies with the person submitting the content to ensure that all submitted content:
- Is original and not previously published
- Does not contain plagiarism or copyright infringement
- Does not contain hate speech, violence, obscenity, or misleading information
- Does not harm the personal rights, privacy, or reputation of third parties
6. Code of Conduct
All participants and website users are obliged to comply fully with general moral rules, societal values, and principles of mutual respect and constructive communication. On lesson platforms, workshop groups, our social media channels, and all other communication environments, everyone is obliged to:
- Use respectful, constructive, and tolerant language
- Refrain from statements contrary to general morality, discrimination, harassment, insults, and cyberbullying
- Not disrupt the training and event flow
For users who violate these rules, our terms of use, or general moral standards, access to the platform and participation in training programs may be suspended, terminated, or blocked immediately without any prior warning.
7. Platform Use and Technical Rules
The following are prohibited:
- Using the platform through automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Attempting to compromise platform security
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Such violations may be subject to legal sanctions.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Digital Publishing Academy does not guarantee that training content remains current or complete, that the platform operates without interruption, or that participants will achieve career or academic goals. The platform is provided as-is. We do not promise the absolute continuity of our services and reserve the right to suspend, terminate, or shut down the platform or any part of its services at any time, without prior notice.
9. Right to Modify
The Digital Magazine Academy reserves the right to change the training curriculum, course hours, educational staff, platform content, and these terms of use without prior notice. Significant changes will be announced via email or through the platform.
10. Governing Law
These terms of use are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. In case of disputes, Istanbul Courts shall have jurisdiction.
